Restriction and exact exception
The direction under LLP Act section 19A(1)(d) prohibits registration of any name containing Temasek. The exception applies if a partner or prospective partner is Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, registration 197401143C. It identifies the company itself and its partner capacity, not any business claiming a relationship with the group.
Commencement and replacement
S 845/2015 was made on 21 December 2015, published on 31 December at noon and effective on 3 January 2016. It revokes the earlier Direction under section 19(1)(d), Dir 1. The two-page direction does not provide a general discretionary waiver application.
