What was inserted into the schedule
The amendment adds paragraph 1(d): a foreign company whose shares are listed for quotation on an approved exchange in Singapore, where that listing is a primary listing. The document also changes the punctuation at the end of paragraph 1(c) to accommodate the new item.
All parts of the listing condition matter
The category requires a foreign company, shares listed on an approved exchange in Singapore and a primary listing. An overseas listing alone or a secondary listing is not the category described by the new wording. The notification does not itself explain the full effect of every provision that refers to the Fifteenth Schedule.
Authority and dated legal source
The Minister issued the notification under section 8(7)(d) of the Companies Act. It was made on 17 June 2023, published on 21 June as S 383/2023 and commenced on 28 June 2023. The article explains that specific schedule amendment rather than treating the short PDF as a complete account of foreign-company registration duties.
