What was superseded
Practice Direction 3 of 2007 states that, following issuance of the inaugural PMP public report on 24 July 2007, Practice Direction 2 of 2005 was superseded by that report with immediate effect. The notice directs readers to the 2007 report for the replacement material. It does not reproduce audit findings or monitoring rules.
Reading the historical notice correctly
The direction was issued on 29 August 2007 by ACRA’s Chief Executive and Registrar of Public Accountants. The report’s July issue date and the direction’s August issue date are distinct. Revocation of an earlier direction does not mean the practice-monitoring programme itself was abolished.
