Open the variation service and select the existing charge
Log in as a business user on the VCC portal and choose Charge, Variation of Charge. Search for and select the VCC or sub-fund, then choose the charge from the registered-charge list. A variation acts on an existing registered record rather than creating the original charge.
Variation instrument date and description
Provide the date and description of the instrument of variation. Then select the type of change. The instrument details describe the basis of the variation and are distinct from a later text description of the change itself.
Description-only route
Selecting Variation Description requires an updated description of variation. If the field is too small for the explanation, the guide permits a document upload. The upload supplements the description rather than making the entity and charge selection optional.
Chargee and secured-amount route
Selecting Chargee Details and Amount Secured opens another tab. In the table, the pencil control edits a record and the cross deletes it. Editable original-registration information includes chargee type, identification type and number, and whether all monies owing are secured. Deleting a row is not the same as correcting its identity details.
Adding or removing secured-amount records
The amount table has its own delete-row control. Add Amount Secured by Charge creates a new amount record with amount, currency and description. Keep these records aligned with the actual variation document rather than retaining contradictory old and new figures.
Review and finish
After the changes, proceed through the next stages, check the preview information and finish. The PDF’s final described action is confirmation; it does not state a payment amount or a separate approval timetable. The portal labels should be read as the guide’s illustrated version.
