Prepare the passport personal-particulars page and the company’s latest ACRA business profile or instant information. Where names differ between passport and other records, add an explanation and evidence such as a deed poll. Qualification verification is required where applicable. Follow the passport upload instructions to prevent delays.

Food businesses, salary evidence and translations
For employees in a food establishment, provide the page reached by scanning the QR code on the SFA foodshop licence, showing licence validity. A new establishment without a licence can provide SFA’s foodshop-licence application letter. MOM may request further evidence, including proof the declared salary will be paid. Combine each non-English original and its English translation into one file; a translation service provider may prepare it.
Authenticity and previous verification
Ensure the qualification is genuine and awarded by an accredited institution. Verification normally only occurs once; previously verified qualifications do not prompt another proof upload. Use only accepted channels rather than treating a certificate alone as verification.
Selected background-screening firms
Proof from a screening firm must come from MOM’s selected companies and contain the MOM verification reference number. For proof issued before 1 September 2023, ask the provider to reissue it with that number. Follow the linked step-by-step submission instructions.
Government, awarding-institution and professional verification
Portal screenshots must be officially available in English and public, accessible and verifiable by MOM. The linked portal list is non-exhaustive. For Chinese qualifications, CSSD diploma evidence is the Higher Education Qualification Certificate report; degree and above require the Higher Education Degree Certificate report. A qualification letter from a relevant professional body is another listed form of proof. Where no eligible portal exists, use a selected background-screening firm.
Evidence that is not accepted
Rejected verification forms include education certificates alone, notarised records, school letters, CSSD Student Record reports, self-translated portal proofs, records from sources MOM cannot verify such as HEDD, My eQuals or National Student Clearinghouse, and an OpenCerts verification screenshot. These exclusions distinguish proof of possession from accepted verification.
OpenCerts digital certificates
Selected educational institutions can be verified through OpenCerts. Submit the actual digital certificate in .opencerts format using the official instructions. A screenshot of the verification is expressly insufficient.
