What this authorisation permits
The guide explains how an organisation grants access to the Submission of Donation Records service, so authorised personnel can send donation information electronically to IRAS on its behalf. Corppass replaced EASY for organisational IRAS authorisation from 1 September 2018. Selecting the service for the organisation and assigning it to a person are separate steps; completing only the organisational selection does not complete a person’s access.
Register the administrator and obtain approval
Before carrying out the authorisation, an administrator must be registered for the entity. Only its Registered Officer or an administrator nominated by that officer can register for a Corppass Admin account. The guide identifies sole proprietors, partners, directors and corporate secretaries as Registered Officers. A nominated administrator follows the registration route and obtains the Registered Officer’s approval; the source points to separate Corppass registration and administrator-management guides for these preliminary procedures.
Create users and distinguish their responsibilities
The Corppass administrator initiates registration and manages the entity’s Corppass access. A user is the person who transacts for the entity, and the source states that there is no limit on the number of users per entity. Create the required user accounts before assignment. If the administrator will personally transact, the guide allows the separate user-creation step to be skipped, but the administrator still needs the relevant service assignment. Existing entities can use Services → Find Your Corppass Admin on the Corppass website to locate their administrator.
Sign in and select the service for the organisation
Go to corppass.gov.sg and choose Login with Singpass. The illustrated guide provides Singpass App scanning and password login routes. Open e-Service Access and select Select Entity’s e-Services. Find Submission of Donation Records, using the filter or search function if needed, and tick its box. Proceed with Next, verify that the selected service is IRAS Submission of Donation Records, then Submit.
Move from organisational selection to individual assignment
After submission, the confirmation screen states that the service is ready to be assigned to users. Continue through Assign selected e-Services. The guide also illustrates reaching this function from the e-Service menu by selecting Assign Selected e-Services. Select the user or users who should receive access, then Next. If different people require different digital-service access, assign those permissions individually rather than treating every selected user as having the same requirements.
Choose the donation service and the Approver role
From the entity’s selected services, tick Submission of Donation Records and proceed with Next. Select Approver as the role and enter the Authorisation Effective Date. The guide instructs the administrator to leave Authorisation Expiry Date blank. Only staff authorised with the Approver role for this service can submit donation records through myTax Portal. The confirmation screenshot’s example dates are illustrative, not dates that every organisation should copy.
Verify and complete the assignment
Review the selected service, role and effective date on the confirmation screen. Submit the assignment and check for the message confirming that the e-service has been assigned to the user or users. This completes the authorisation procedure described in the PDF; the actual preparation and submission of donation records is a subsequent transaction in myTax Portal, not a step shown in this authorisation guide.
Source date and assistance
The PDF was published on 29 May 2023 and contains historical Corppass screenshots, including older example dates and menu layouts. Use its distinction between organisational service selection and individual Approver assignment while checking the live interface for present navigation. The source’s donation-data contacts are 1800 356 8015 and data_mgmt@iras.gov.sg. These contact details and illustrated interface are identified here as those printed in the dated guide.
