Applying from overseas
The candidate does not need to be in Singapore when the employer or appointed employment agent submits the application.
Overseas-company sponsorship
An overseas company without a Singapore-registered office needs a local sponsor and follows MOM’s sponsorship route. This differs from an application by a Singapore employer.
Arrival and issuance
After approval, follow the IPA and current entry requirements. The candidate must be in Singapore for pass issuance. Practical travel plans should allow for further document requests and any medical examination specified in the IPA.
