The two exempt categories
Regulation 2 exempts an individual licensed under section 33 or 34 of the Environmental Public Health Act, and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency established under its founding Convention, from the registration requirement under the Business Names Registration Act. The first category is tied to the specified licence and an individual, not a general exemption for every business in the environmental or public-health sector.
Earlier notifications cancelled
The regulations cancel the old Business Registration exemption notification for the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, Cap. 32, N 1, and the exemption notification for accounting firms, Cap. 32, N 2. Accounting firms are not listed as a new category in regulation 2. Cancellation of the older notification should therefore be distinguished from the two expressly retained categories.
