Eligible candidates
Employers may apply for semi-skilled or unskilled employees of related overseas companies to train in Singapore, or foreign students at Singapore educational institutions whose training is part of course requirements. All TWPs last up to six months.
Levy and quota
Both overseas employees and foreign students attract the rates below. Numbers are capped by the employer’s foreign-worker quota in construction, manufacturing, marine shipyard, process or services.

Security bond and medical examination
A security bond is required for every non-Malaysian TWP holder. A medical examination is not required. Employer medical-insurance responsibilities still apply.
